There are a couple of reasons why I love SketchSynth by Billy Keyes. I think what it does really nicely is break the barrier between the cold coded interface and the human interaction that it triggers. There’s nothing more human than a couple of doodles done carelessly on a paper, we do that constantly. However, the use of pattern recognition and some really smart AR enables those same doodles to create an experience close to magical. Though I’m getting increasingly geek, I think the code or any digital platform should serve the people it’s destined for, not the other way round, and for that matter, the system has to be flexible enough to allow people have a rich experience no matter how big or small their technological knowledge is.
